2016年12月12日，连云港高级中学2016英语节如期开幕。

Enjoying the warm winter sunshine, we’re very joyful to get together here, to welcome our 2016 Campus English Festival of Lianyungang Senior High School.

沐浴着冬日的阳光，我们欢聚在这里，迎来了我们一年一度的校园英语节——连云港高级中学2016英语节。

English is one of our characteristics. Good news keeps pouring that teachers and students in our school have been awarded in Englishin provincial and municipal activities.

英语学科是我校的特色之一。在省市组织的各项活动中，我校师生继续捷报频传。刘永芳老师、倪荣业老师、李海燕老师获评2016市教学先进个人，李莉老师获2015市首届青年外语大赛英语专业组二等奖、2016年市高中综合实践基本功大赛一等奖、市委教育工委组织开展的《党章党规印我心》知识竞赛三等奖、校第一届厚生杯青年教师课堂教学比赛二等奖，王静婷老师获2016年市高中综合实践基本功大赛二等奖，刘珊珊老师、王静婷老师、李珊珊老师获评市优秀阅卷员，毛春铧老师出版两本书：《高中英语必考短语高效速记》和《高中英语必考短语随走随练》，王丽爱老师获省教育科学研究成果三等奖、市优秀教科研成果一等奖。

At the time of the 60th anniversary celebration of the founding of our school, we intended the 2016 English Festival, through series of activities, to create an atmosphere of campus English culture, enrich campus cultural life, show the charm of English language arts, enlarge students' vision, promote students to understand English culture, develop and enhance the interest of English learning, train thestudents’ ability to express multi-culture in English, cultivate students' creative spirit and practical ability, let students enjoy learning English and using English, provide a platform for students to show themselves and report their learning outcomes to the society.

值我校六十周年校庆之际，我们举行连云港高级中学2016校园英语节，通过英语文化节系列活动，营造校园英语文化气氛，丰富校园文化生活，展现英语语言艺术的魅力，拓展学生视野，促进学生了解英语文化，培养和提高对英语学习的浓厚兴趣，锻炼同学们用英语表达多元文化的能力，培养学生的创新精神和实践能力，让学生在英语活动中体会到学英语，用英语的快乐，为学生展示自我和向社会汇报学习成果提供平台。

The theme of the English Festival is Better English, Better Life. The activities mainly include 1.Cultural Journey, 2. Experience journey, 3. Skill contest, covering a lecture on English idioms; English movies，Exotic cultural presentation，English square，English Singing Competition，English Speech Competition，English Drama Competition，English Handwriting Competition，English Reading Competition，English Poem  Recitation Contest in honor of December 29 Movement and so on.

本届英语节的主题是“英语更好，生活更美”。主要内容包括1.文化之旅; 2.体验之行; 3.技能之赛。涉及英语习语讲座、英语影片欣赏、异国文化展、英语广场、英语歌曲比赛、英语演讲比赛、英语话剧比赛、英语书法比赛、英语阅读比赛、纪念129运动英语诗歌朗诵比赛等等。

Our dearest schoolmates, the stage has been put up for us to learn English,experience English and use English. We hope that all of us can fully display ourselves, challenge ourselves, and improve ourselves in various activities,traveling in the sea of English culture!

同学们，学习英语、体验英语、运用英语的舞台已经为我们搭建，希望同学们在各项活动中，充分展示自我、挑战自我、提升自我，在英语文化的海洋中，尽情遨游！
